It has been two years since I left Paris to move in Tokyo. I explored many small streets in this fascinating city almost every day with my camera. On instagram and in my blog, I am sharing my pictures that show not only my everyday life but also the image I have of Tokyo. The Tokyo I love: poetic, retro, charming and kawaii. From now on, I would like to share more with you. That’s why I had the idea of organizing Japon Chéri Tokyo Tour, a completely customized tour to guide you in the Japanese capital city during your next trip.

Leave your Lonely Planet guide at the hotel. Don’t plan anything. Forget about using Google Maps and wasting your time looking for a place that’s difficult to find. I will take care of everything! We will have lunch in a typical, trendy or out of the ordinary restaurant (I will arrange it according to your requests). I will show you my favorite temples, shops and photos spots. Also, I will answer all your questions about my life in Japan, Japanese people and their amazing but sometimes disconcerting culture. As an option, I can capture your stay in the biggest city in the world in the form of photography. I can capture your stay in the biggest city in the world and send you the pictures, edited with love, a few weeks later by email.

Ueno, Nezu and Yanaka Tour

Itinerary :

Ueno

Our visit will start in Ueno. I will bring you in one of my favorite places to taste sashimi, tempura and chirashi. Are you a vegetarian or would you like to try a specific meal? No worries, my questionnaire is made for those things! I will always plan things according to your needs. After lunch, I will guide you in this interesting neighborhood, very lively on one side (with its market, kawaii shops, and arcades) and very peaceful on the other side, thanks to its beautiful park that I always compare to Central Park in NY.

Nezu

We will walk to the Nezu neighborhood taking the most charming streets in Tokyo. I know every corner of this area. You feel like having a matcha tea with Japanese sweet? No problem. You want to try a local craft beer? I know a very nice place. Your goal is to visit as many temples as possible in a limited amount of time? Follow the guide!

Yanaka

Are you ready to discover my own tiny paradise? I will show you the “Japan” you’d see in Ozu, Hirokazu Kore-Eda or Naomi Kawase movies. Small narrow streets with plants and flowers everywhere, electric cables, small shops… I promise that you will have a big crush on this neighborhood and also find a lot of nice souvenirs to bring back home in my favorite handcraft shops. You want to buy a yukata or a kimono? I will help you find one with a great price. And if you want to stay in Yanaka to have dinner, I will give you some tips and let you enjoy the rest of the evening by yourselves…

The Japon Chéri Tokyo Tour is a customizable and personal tour that lets you visit the city serenely with a true Tokyoite! Please note that this fee is for one or two people.

(Lunch, snacks, and transportation fees will be at your own expense, but, no worries! We will not take the subway since walking is the best way to discover the city, and the lunch budget will be approximately 1500 yen. So, they won’t be so expensive, I promise!)

During all the tour, I will capture the best moments with my camera. From spontaneous shots to portraits, I will take pictures of your preference. You will receive high quality and edited pictures in your email box around three weeks after your trip. Nostalgia guaranteed!

 

Harajuku and Omotesando Tour

Itinerary :

Omotesando

Omotesando is where a lot of the hip youths of Tokyo are hanging out during the weekend. Organic farmer market, flea market, art galleries… You will see that this part of the town is full of surprises! The « Japanese Champs-Elysées » can make your head spin, but I will be your compass. We will start with a lunch in one of my favorite places according to what you are craving (gyoza, organic food truck, a healthy Japanese lunch set or crazy themed restaurants and cafes….) And then I will show you places, where you can find nice accessories every kind of gadgets at great prices, located only a few blocks away from the luxurious shopping areas

Harajuku

In Harajuku I will show you how to take Purikura (Japanese photo booth) photos, take you around in the heart of kawaii (cute) neighborhood, and bring you to vintage and trendy shops. You will also get to see the small streets, where there is a full of treasures as great spots for instagram photos. You want to buy a yukata or a kimono? I will help you find one for a great price in a vintage kimono shop. For the ones who want to visit the Meiji Jingu shrine, I can add it to the list of places we will visit.

Shibuya is only twenty minutes on foot, so if we are good with our schedule I can walk with you there and give you some tips on where to go and what to do. One of my favorite restaurants is in this neighborhood!

Once your tour and date has been fixed, confirm your booking by paying the non-refundable deposit of ¥20,000 via Paypal to japoncheri@gmail.com.
The remaining ¥20,000 is to be paid in Japanese yen and in cash at the start of the tour. Two weeks before, you will receive the meet-up location details.
